Let me introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me (though, let’s be honest, the majority of people reading this blog have the same last name as me and/or came from the same womb). I figure the best way to do this is to walk you through some of my biggest life moments in a series we’ll call, “About Me”, which is also a handy way to avoid having to write a bio for this section of the blog.
We’ll start with the engagement, which merits a story of its own since I might be the only person in the whole world who has been proposed to without having any idea that it happened. (Right now you may be thinking that in some romantic moment he had some elaborate but cryptic plan and I was just too blond to realize this grandiose proposal was happening, and I assure you you are very wrong.
From the engagement would naturally come the wedding, and though it was great it doesn’t get it’s own blog story. We tied the knot January 14, 2006 in the most elaborate ceremony you can have with 5 weeks notice and a tiny budget (which is to say, a not very elaborate one). But the food was good, there was lots of wine, and we did karaoke. The man I married will hereto-forth be referred to as Husband.
There were a bunch of years of life in there where I worked real jobs and also was acting, (including this awesome webseries) and after 7 years of marriage or so we finally decided that we’d never actually think of ourselves as mature enough to be parents so we should stop waiting for that to happen and just have kids anyway. So began the baby making phase.
First, there was the non-pregnant pregnancy, followed immediately by the actual pregnancy. That pregnancy produced once heck of an adorable kid, baby M, who you will find most of these blog stories center around. There was a near death experience right after I brought him home, but I quickly recovered.
There was, when Baby M was about 14 or 15 months, another baby who we sadly never got to meet, and then in March 2015 we welcomed Baby E into the world. He’s walking, running, climbing and mischief making, so he’ll get a lot of blog space too!
And that about sums it up, minus a whole bunch of other stuff, but you get the idea. Now go read the blog already!
